2021 Summer Art Camp

July 5-9

 

Each summer, the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art hosts a week-long summer studio art camp for young artists. They work with professional artists in various mediums all week to produce a portfolio or exhibition.  Seating is very limited and registration is required. Junior Artists Camp (for Grades 3-6) 

Students will develop fundamental skills while exploring multiple mediums such as pastels, acrylics, colored pencils, and more while producing works in drawing, painting, printmaking, collage and multi-media. The Junior Artist sessions will be led by veteran artists & art instructors Barb Hendricks, Pam Wright, Kerrigan Casey, and Amita Bhakta.
Cost: $200 for general public, $175 for TVAA members at the Family/Friends level or above
Schedule: July 5-8, 9 am – 3 pm; July 9, 9 am – 12 pm

Advanced Artists (for Grades 7-12)

Students will work with the highly skilled portrait artist Martha Carpenter to explore advanced drawing methods, learn new skills and refine existing techniques.
Cost: $150 for general public, $125 for TVAA members at the Family/Friends level or above
Schedule: July 5-8, 1 pm – 3 pm; July 9, TBA
