Class Description:
Most days you can find Cathy Talbot in her Tupelo, MS backyard Empty Nest Studio immersed in her world of vitreous enameling, the ancient art of firing powdered glass to metal. From hand fabricating the metal for jewelry or art objects to torch or kiln firing the glass, it’s all about the technique and color, color, color. Cathy also enjoys sharing the art as a guest instructor at area studios and community outreach programs. Cathy is a member of Craftsmen’s Guild of MS, TN Crafts Southwest Chapter, and The Enamelists Society.
Join us to learn the basics of vitreous enameling on copper. All materials provided to create at least one pendant and earrings. Designs will vary. Just bring your imagination and desire to create.
Supplies: We’ve got all the supplies- just bring your imagination and desire to learn vitreous enameling!
Fee: $200 ($180 with TVAA membership at the Scholar’s Circle level or above )
