Explore the process and legacy of comic book and sequential artwork. The exhibit features the following:
– Original illustrations of Christopher Hanther, who worked for Marvel Comics and illustrated the long-running comic Tandra. Learn more about Christopher Hanther in this video by the Tishomingo Arts Council.
-Original and printed comic art by members of the Mid-South Cartoonists Association
-Rare and vintage comics from local private collections
-Japanese wood block prints from the TVMA permanent collection, illustrating the predecessors of manga comic art.
