
Avant: Five Contemporary Voices

The Tennessee Valley Museum of Art presents the work of five contemporary artists, each exploring innovative ideas and form through the mediums of drawing, textile, painting, collage, and sculpture.
Melinda Crider, Dariana Dervis, Tracie Noles-Ross, Miriam Omura, and Chiharu Roach are all currently based in Birmingham, AL, but bring experiences from throughout the American South, as well as from Japan and the UK.
Artist Panel & Reception will be on Saturday, February 4 from 3 to 5 pm, with the panel discussion at 4 pm.
Exhibition hours are Tuesday-Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 10am-5pm.
Admission to the TVMA is $5 for adults, $3 for students, and free for members of the Tennessee Valley Art Association.
