Darshan Opening Festival

Saturday, March 19, 2 pm to Sundown
at the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art

(Rain location for the outdoor events will be the Ritz Theatre)

Celebrate the arts and cultures of India with this festival at the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art! This event is the kick-off for Darshan: Visions of India, a series of art exhibitions and events at the museum and the Ritz Theatre.

Outside, on The Commons in front of the museum:
• Hands-on art activities
• Demonstrations and workshops including yoga and dance
• A stage with rotating dance, music, and storytelling
• Indian Food (while supplies last)
• Evening bonfire and ceremony celebrating the Indian spring festival of Holi


Inside the museum:
• Free admission for the opening of our Darshan exhibitions.
• Artist meet & greet with Amita Bhakta, Geeta Dave, and several Indian American artists exhibiting in the invitational exhibition
