India: The Arts of Invention & Tradition
Saturday, April 16, 3 pm at the TVMA

Dr. Katherine Paul, The Virginia and William M. Spencer III Curator of Asian Art at the Birmingham Museum of Art, will discuss how the diverse arts of India thrive and evolve today while remaining deeply connected to over 4,000 years of history, ten major religions, twenty-two major languages, and thirteen scripts.

This event is part of Darshan: Visions of India‘s Saturday lecture series. Admission fees to the museum will be optional for this lecture.
