Richard Smith Art Auction

Join us for an auction of original watercolor artworks by the late Richard Smith at the Ritz Studio in Sheffield on September 30 at 6PM.

Smith was an artist of renown in the Shoals area as well as in his early career as a syndicated cartoonist. He lived much of his life in Iowa and moved to Alabama after retiring from dentistry. He was a signature member of the Watercolor Society of Indiana and long- time member of the Shoals Artist Guild.

Richard’s wife Lorraine was also an artist and will have a few pieces up for bid as well. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Tennessee Valley Art Association courtesy of J.D. and Anna Smith.
